    CHE FU

    Long a household name in Aotearoa, Che Fu came up through 70s and 80s Grey Lynn, the High Street scene of the 90s, and as a founding member of 2014 Hall of Fame inductees Supergroove. The son of prominent Polynesian Panthers members, Che brings Pasifika and Māoridom together via the medium of hip hop in a way that uniquely brings the party while resonating on a frequency both personal and political. He will be celebrated at the 2026 Aotearoa Music Awards on 28 May.
